Revit 2026 - Cutting an irregular shape? (Void Form Extrusion)

I am trying to make a cut to this diamond shape (shown)

I have tried this from scratch two different times and cannot get the "cut" to work.
You can see the face I used as a plane.

Is there a magic trick I need to learn?

Simple cut on a simple shape works..

Sorry, I'm using "cut" because I'm a SW guy...

Maybe the secret is trying it 10 times...
