Trebuchet Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 So, there's no way, that I've found to use expressions with Action parameters... is there a way? I've tried using Constraint parameters, but they mess up my block. Basically, what I'd like to do, is have the block tell me the distance between point A and point B, also the distance between point B and point C. I have accomplished this with action parameters, what would be really nice, is if it told me the distance from point A to point C. It seems that it should be easy to just add a User Parameter that uses the expression "pull1 + pull2" but this doesn't work. When I punch it in... it tells me "A dependent expression cannot be evaluated." Whatever that means. Any ideas? Quote
luther4000 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I think this post might be what you are looking for. It explains how to use Fields in a Dynamic block to show a distance that might change because of an Stretch Action. Quote
GE13579 Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Or you could just add dimensions to the block and include them in the stretch parameter. Quote
