Hi guys and gals,

Just a quicky on the fly here.

If a drawing created using full AutoCAD, with true colors used is opened in AutoCAD LT, how will the colors display/behave?

Many thanks in advance for any comments.

Cheers

If you go into color selection for layers, in autocad you get the tabs Index Color, True Color and Color Books. In LT you only have index colors.

If i set a color in full cad to a true color, how would that behave when opened in LT?

Dam it.

Looks like the alternative is to then use an stb file, and create a style for each possible true color, 255*255*255=16581375 .... or maybe not.

My guess is that it would be fine. You just wouldn't be able to change it to another true color.

Sort of like you can't attach an image in LT, but if you open a drawing created with AutoCAD that has an image attached, it's OK.

what exactly is an stb file? and how are they created?

Does anyone know of a patch/extension that allows colorbooks to be used in LT 2005?
