marlon Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 I'm using autocad 2002. In the Materials Library window, the Current Library is 'Render'. I believe it is the file render.mli This library has patterns such as WOOD - DARK ASH and WOOD - DARK RED. I know this patterns are in the .tga format. I was able to make a pattern of the same format (.tga). Now my problem is how do I get this pattern to be inside the render.mli file so I can use it to render my drawing. Thanks guys! Quote
ReMark Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 I believe you mean "material" not pattern. Pattern is most often used to refer to hatch patterns. A whole different subject. I believe there are tutorials about creating and using your own materials here at CT and elsewhere. Best to start here and branch out. Quote
shift1313 Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 on your materials window you should have a button for New. Name the material what you want, i named my wood_inlay_oak for no good reason. then on the color/pattern window i clicked find file and used a large Jpeg image i had for wood. You also have control over the rest of the attributes and can add a bump map and transparency map if you wish. The third image is the material applied to a cube. Quote
marlon Posted December 23, 2008 Author Posted December 23, 2008 Yes MATERIAL is what I meant. Thanks guys! Quote
