Drawing a column in MEP

can anyone help, on the arictect toolpalette, I want to draw some columns, I have the dimensions for the column but when I draw them they appear as a squar box instad of the 'I' beam shape. Can any one offer some advice on this please?

Format>Structural Members>Wizard Then select the item, I beam, Tube steel etc. Fill out the dimensions and the name it. Go to the Design pulldown Structural Members> Add Column. Then in Properties select the named item and draw.
