Editing ESRI Geodatabase Files in AutoCAD?

I know you can edit ESRI shapfiles in AutoCAD Map but can you edit Feature classes located in a Geodatabase? We have a file based geodatabase and I want to be able to edit those feature classes in AutoCAD just like you can do with a shapefile.

 

I tried connected to the data using the ArcSDE connection and that doesn't work because we don't have an ArcSDE Geodatabase. We have a file Geodatabase.
