chulse Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 What type of XREFs do you use... and why? I almost always use Overlay... Quote
rkent Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I use Overlay when I don't want the xref carried forward if I xref that file into another. I use Attach if I do want that xref to show in the next file xrefing that file. This is what the two types were intended to be used for. Quote
uddfl Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 ^ What rkent said. There's room for overlay, attach, and block insert. Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 In general an XRef for me is attached by default. When the drawing gets an engineer's seal all XRefs get binded as an insert. Quote

I was more interested in why folks use a particular method over another in specific situations. I.E. Why would you want the xrefs carried forward in a specific situation... Quote
