Guest RODDY1 Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Good Afternoon Can anyone Help ? AutoCad 2009 I am rendering (using rendercrop command in model space) a conveyor which i am adding different materials to components in seperate layers. so far so good. After i have applied materials to one layer (say red plastic to skate wheels layor) i would then test the render by using rendercrop before adding any other materials to the other layers. when i am happy with the render of the skate wheels layer i turn this layer off and then add materials to the next layer (say grey painted steel to the frame work layer) . Now i want to test the render of this layer, so i use rendercrop, the problem is that the render still remembers the first render of the skate wheels layer (which is turned off) but ignores the frame work layer i have just added materials too. Hope this makes sense. Quote
Cad64 Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Try Freezing the layer, rather than just turning it off. Quote
Guest RODDY1 Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Hi Cad64 just going to try freezing the layer but before that i tried rendercrop again when opening a drawing , it rendered ok the first time, so i zoomed in and used rendercrop again - No faces to render - appears The scene ontains no renderable geometry , rendering aborted Not sure if these problems are linked and due to layers Have you come across this before ? Guest RODDY1 Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 I Was Working In 2d Wireframe Style On A 3d Drawing Should Of Been In A 3d Environment To Create Renderings. Feel A Bit Of A Idiot. Thanks Alan Quote
