I read about steel square twisted topic, and I've been practice both ways using lips and sweep but Those methode only for straight form. How can I draw the steel square twisted along path (path made is polyline between round and lines)?. Thankyou for help!

I'd use a loft with sections rotated to the correct degree positioned along it's path.

Take a peek at some of the similar threads as listed below such as "How to extrude a twisted object" and "Modelling a twisted square steel bar".

Do you have access to 2007 or later (Sweep didn't exist in r2004?) Use Twist option.

Actualy I'm using both Autocad 2004 and 2008. I've been trying to use lisp (topic"twisting objects with Autocad R14 - fuccaro") in Autocad 2004 and using sweep in Autocad 2008. It's works but only for bar shape. Now I'm trying to draw this image 'see attachment' (dimension 3.05 x 2.40 square dimension 0.50 mm). What should ido to make a solid drawing for this image. Thanks for help.

Try the Mobius ring. There is one that twists multiple times. And also there is an elliptical one.

Hi JD Mather!:P Thanks for your tutorial, it's work for me. I use sweep command with this steps :

Command:

SWEEP

Current wire frame density: ISOLINES=4

Select objects to sweep: 1 found

Select objects to sweep:

Select sweep path or [Alignment/Base point/Scale/Twist]: b

Specify base point:

Select sweep path or [Alignment/Base point/Scale/Twist]: t

Enter twist angle or allow banking for a non-planar sweep path [bank]: 720

Select sweep path or [Alignment/Base point/Scale/Twist]:

And the result is amazing. Thank you so much.:D
