Layers and X-ref.

Using Civil 3D 2009:

What is the easiest way to turn off layers within "x-ref" view port?

I brought all my x-ref drawing on layer-0

With the viewport active, start the layer manager, select the Xref filter, pick the xref under that, pick on any layer, select all with shift-a, go over to the right to find the vplayer column and hit the freeze/thaw icon.
