Hello all,

I use a particular dynamic block to produce drawings with a variety of different beam lengths. It makes drawing a lot quicker and easier.

However, I email my drawings to the client in dwg format but don't want them to be able to use the dynamic blocks.

Is there a way I can convert the dynamic block to normal block? or lock them? or disable the functionality?

Any help is appreceitated!

Thanks

You could explode them which would remove the dynamic aspect.

Yeah, I have tried that and it works other that the text reverts back to the attribute tag name.

Thanks

Try BURST instead of explode. It will explode your block and attributes to text. You can also search in the CUI for "Explode Attributes to Text"

Thanks, both of those work. Thanks

I also found on another site with a vlx file that turns a dynamic block in to a static block.

I have attached it here.

another possible way would be to save it as a lower release. I don't know if the dynamic properties would return if it was then opened in a more suitable release though.
