Nidhi Singhania, can you post in an earlier version of AutoCAD?

Many forum members, myself included, don't have 2009 or 2010.

I always save to AutoCAD 2000 for my clients and if needed, for posting in the forums.

This is a basic block for 2d office chair. You should be able to pull from this and make your changes for the view.

I have the below office chair, 3D, AutoCAD 2000.

I also have another office setup, also shown below.

Sorry, both are large files. Too large for the forums.

If you want 'em, PM me with your email address and I'll send them via email. :)

The legs of the chairs that tankman showed is difficult to draw in the perspective view you gave nidhi. But do you know basic 3D modeling?

Posted

Thank you...

Yes you are right, but i guess i have no other option left now..:(

Yeha i am aware of the tools ,to be put to use, for 3d modeling..

But am not quite well versed with it..:?

Tankman,i checked the files you sent me, but am dissapointed to say that those didnt quite help me ..

It looks to me that the legs of the office chair (see Office Chair.pdf) were created by extruding a circle along the path of an arc. To draw the arc correctly one must reorient the UCS. The rest then is fairly simple.

Well,ReMark ,i have tried even this, but didnt quite get it the way i wanted it to fit, in the perspective..

I think you have lost me. I'd get the geometry right first then worry about creating the perspective view you want second.

Never mind. I think I see where the confusion lies. You drew a 2D perspective view as opposed to drawing everything in 3D then setting up your view.

Can anyone please help me, as till now i have not been able to solve the problem...
