Changing 3D drawing to 2D LT Drawing

Hi

I am using AutoCAD LT 2009 and have been given a drawing to continue for my supervisor. He has started the drawing using 3D and I am finding this is very slow when I am working on it in LT. I have tried to cut and paste the drawing to a new AutoCAD LT drawing but all the dimension lines shoot accross the drawing and will leave alot of work for me to change.

Can anyone help me with this problem?:(

LT does not support 3D.

Can you get your supervisor to use the "flatshot" command to effectively give you 2D views.

e.g plan / elevations, etc.

Hi

Yes we have done this. The drawing is still slow:(

How big is the file size?

What are your computer specs?

Are you current with all available service packs and hotfixes?

I've notice that several times when i used the flatshot command that the file somehow seems to be slower, this can usually be a hardware issue.

I've never had any problems when i got my new computer.

Check for a bloated scalelist.

Purge the drawing using the command line option of -purge (it will purge more objects).
