jgmdpk Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Hi I am using AutoCAD LT 2009 and have been given a drawing to continue for my supervisor. He has started the drawing using 3D and I am finding this is very slow when I am working on it in LT. I have tried to cut and paste the drawing to a new AutoCAD LT drawing but all the dimension lines shoot accross the drawing and will leave alot of work for me to change. Can anyone help me with this problem? J Quote
stevsmith Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 LT does not support 3D. Can you get your supervisor to use the "flatshot" command to effectively give you 2D views. e.g plan / elevations, etc. Quote
jgmdpk Posted April 1, 2010 Author Posted April 1, 2010 Hi Yes we have done this. The drawing is still slow:( Quote
Cad64 Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 How big is the file size? What are your computer specs? Are you current with all available service packs and hotfixes? Quote
stevsmith Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 I've notice that several times when i used the flatshot command that the file somehow seems to be slower, this can usually be a hardware issue. I've never had any problems when i got my new computer. Quote
ReMark Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Check for a bloated scalelist. Purge the drawing using the command line option of -purge (it will purge more objects). Quote
