Convert AutoCAD drawing to esp text as curves

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I have AutoCAD 2009 and wish to send a drawing as esp. The recipient has asked for an esp conversion and to save text as curves.

As a relatively inexperienced CAD user I dont know how to do this fully. I can save as esp using export but how do I save text as curves? Recipient uses illustrator.

Thanks to anyone who can put me on the right road

Can you explode the texts before the conversion? Type TXTEXT in the command line and follow the prompts.

Unless you're sending these files telepathically, I think you mean EPS, not ESP.

Whoops I must be dyslecsic! Yes it must be EPS, and will try TXTEXP but thank you too Fuccaro for responding. I will let you know if it works.

I was going to same something similar until I googled it and found that there is a .esp extension.

Don't think its got anything to do with Acad, but there you go.

Sorry for the confusion and thanks Cad64 for correcting that!
