golfman Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Hi all I have AutoCAD 2009 and wish to send a drawing as esp. The recipient has asked for an esp conversion and to save text as curves. As a relatively inexperienced CAD user I dont know how to do this fully. I can save as esp using export but how do I save text as curves? Recipient uses illustrator. Thanks to anyone who can put me on the right road Vyrn Quote
fuccaro Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Can you explode the texts before the conversion? Type TXTEXT in the command line and follow the prompts. Welcome in the forum! Quote
Cad64 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Unless you're sending these files telepathically, I think you mean EPS, not ESP. Quote
Cad64 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Fuccaro, don't you mean TXTEXP? TXTEXT gives "Unknown Command" error. Quote
golfman Posted April 10, 2010 Author Posted April 10, 2010 Whoops I must be dyslecsic! Yes it must be EPS, and will try TXTEXP but thank you too Fuccaro for responding. I will let you know if it works. Quote
nukecad Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Unless you're sending these files telepathically, I think you mean EPS, not ESP. I was going to same something similar until I googled it and found that there is a .esp extension. http://www.file-extensions.org/esp-file-extension Don't think its got anything to do with Acad, but there you go. fuccaro Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 This place is full of dyslexic people. Or is it dylesxic? Sorry for the confusion and thanks Cad64 for correcting that! Quote
