buzzbuzz
hi, when i add edit poly modifier to a spline and select a polygon face, i always get these multi colored lines scattered around. i could turn these off by pressing f2, which i found to be shade selected faces toggle. however these thing won't appear if i add edit poly to a geometry or add edit mesh to spline. why is this? so is it better to use an extruded spline or create geometry? Cad64
Can you post a screenshot? I don't understand what you mean by "multi colored lines scattered around".

Cad64
That's pretty crazy. I've never seen anything like that before. I just tried it on my machine and I don't have any lines appearing. I'm wondering if it's a graphics display problem? What are your computer specs and what version of Max are you using?

Cad64
Well, since I can't duplicate the problem, and I've never seen that happen before, I don't have any advice to give. You will just have to do some investigation on your own and see if you can determine what's causing it. I assume your computer specs are good? Have you downloaded and installed the available hotfixes and service packs?
