CiCAD Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I generally use the same settings when generating a 2d section of a 3d object every time i use a new section plane i have to imput the settings again and again. is there a way of setting this up so as when i start a new section plane i dont have to fill out the setttings over and over? Merry Xmas! Quote
ReMark Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I vaguely recall reading something about this recently in an AutoDesk University 2010 handout about going from 3D to 2D by David Cohn. I'll see if I can dig it up. I'm back. Mr. Cohn had the following tip. "After you change section settings to produce the desired results for different types of views, you can drag-and-drop a section object on to a tool palette to save those settings as a new palette tool, so you can easily create a new section object using those same settings in the future." Is this what you were referring to? Quote
Oppie Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 ReMark is right. Here you can see how easy it is, @ 1:25 you can see the section part: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtube_gdata_player&v=JZX61ok669M Quote
