tennis4you Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 For some reason when I stretch something, if there is an object that has been grouped it will not stretch (even if it is entirely in the area). Any reason why? Any way to change that setting? Quote

Lee Mac Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 For some reason when I stretch something, if there is an object that has been grouped it will not stretch (even if it is entirely in the area). Any reason why? Any way to change that setting? If an object is entirely in the stretch crossing window/polygon, then no, it will not stretch since the Stretch command stretches the part of an object within the stretch crossing window/polygon relative to the part not inside the stretch crossing window/polygon. If an object is selected using a method other than crossing window/polygon or lies completely inside the crossing window/polygon, it will just be moved relative to the base point. Quote
ThrashMetal Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 lee mac is right, only a portion of the object you want to stretch should be in the crossing window. Quote

tennis4you Posted May 26, 2011 Author Posted May 26, 2011 I guess I should clarify. I am not looking for the object I have grouped to actually stretch. I have the object entirely in the fence and it is not moving when I stretch. All other things (text, leaders, lines, etc) move if they are entirely in the fence that I am stretching. Quote
eldon Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Perhaps it is a block, and you have not got the Insertion point within the fence Quote

I have no problem with this, it will even stretch a single object in a group. Did you check _PICKSTYLE = 3 as suggested? Quote
