peterg Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Can anyone advise me how to get a line to form a tangent on 2 different circles, different sizes, different cntr lines. Got snap on, but still not right. Quote
MSasu Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 When asked for first point by LINE command, just hold and right click; this will give you access to a Osnap modes menu that overrides current setting - select Tangent and pick the first circle (on circumference, in the part were you want the tangent). Repeat for second circle. Quote

MSasu Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 It would works for first one too - did you tried above instructions? Will notify that after apply on first circle, the tangency point is somehow dynamical; it will get the final location only after set the second one. Quote
Dadgad Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Mircea is, as usual, correct. There will be no line created until after you have selected the second circle. There could be a problem if you have other conflicting OSNAPS turned on, like PERPENDICULAR, QUADRANT, NEAREST ........ If you try with just the TANGENT OSNAP activated you shouldn't have any trouble. Quote
