It is a simple Screen Print. To create one just press Ctrl + Alt + Prt Scr. Paste it into Paint and then save it as a JPEG.

It's killing me therefore I just have to ask. Why did you set it up this way (under My Documents) in the first place?

Sorry Mark---Years ago I had R14,which also used My Documents and I've just carried on that way. When I looked in "Help" at the start of this problem,I found a reference to "rememberfolders",which does point to My documents as the site for stored drawing files.

Looking further at "options" there is a project Search file category, which currently has a stop sign and empty quoted. Is this connected in any way?

I have made some progress at last.!!!!!

I have found, purely by accident, that in tools/options/profiles,if I select "reset",my setup changes, but both "open" file and "save as" work as they did before------the down side is,that when I exit Autocad and then reopen and try"open" again---it crashes.Could you comment on this development, please??
