spiker7221
I'm new to Inventor 2014 and am having trouble with it's capabilities. I have a vertical part..rotated in several directions (see below). The top and bottom needs to be level with the ground plane when all is done. Chopped flat. Plan view - rotate it 37.023 degrees South elevation - rotate it 2.46 degrees to the left. West elevation - rotate it 8.75 to the right. I tried to create a 3d void in the South view, but it first needs a plane to start.....which is rotated and skewed a bit. Can I project a sketch in the South view and use as a void to remove from the piece? Thanks for any help. JD Mather
There were no dimensions in Sketch1? I got lost from there.
spiker7221
There were no dimensions in Sketch1?I got lost from there. So sorry for that. I figured it out. I created a plane by using Angle to Plane Around Edge. I enabled the visibility of my XZ plane and Z axis. Worked like a charm. Here's my end result. What do you think? JD Mather
I assume you are going to use some assembly constraints. This might be an interesting solution (see attached). Test Corner_JD.ipt
