BIGAL
My version, I make scrap pads as we forever scribble numbers etc and just throw away at the end of the day, around 25mm thick at a time A4 sheets, do a shuffle bang on flat desk etc to a crisp end. Ok now the answer I clamp two pieces of wood to the edge and then use pva on the edge. Tears off made. Back to E's like Remark get two pieces of wood pre drill the binding holes etc. Lay the wood on both sides use wood G clamps and tighten secret is TIGHTEN ! Battery drill all done. If the sheets are tight the drill will make a perfect hole.
RobDraw
This has been a thorn in my side for many years, the larger the sheets, the worse it is. Thankfully, we don't submit very many bound sets anymore. I usually use a table in a corner. The walls are my guides. The binding clips for temporarily holding the aligned papers until they can get fastened is a great idea that I never thought of. In fact, I've never seen any do that before.
