    Drawing Cannot trim hatch

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

    Hi..

I draw a circle inside the hath, and I couldn't trim the hath inside the circle.

1-My hatch and circle elevation are at the same level.
2-I tried both Associative and non-Associative hatch.
    3-The layers are not locked.

you can find the attached drawing here.

    Thanks

    Hi

Not sure you can just trim hatch without exploding. Rather Edit Hatch and Add: Selected Objects.

DO NOT explode a hatch, ever. It should be trimmable, but there are from time to time, program issues with hatches even in the newer versions with the "good" hatch editor.

If you can't trim it, erase the hatch, draw the inner circle and re-hatch.

You can trim the hatch but it must be non-associative to do so. I tested this in both AutoCAD 2015 and AutoCAD 2017.
