So, I have received dynamic blocks off this site where you just have to insert the drawing once and it has its dynamic properties. At my office we always have to save a block in a drawing with a different name than the block it contains, and then explode that block with the drawings name once its been inserted to access the block we wanted. I appreciate some instruction and reference to past posts where this questions was answer. Alas I could not find it.

Dynamic Blocks - Circles and Lookup Parameter / Actions
TheyCallMeJohn posted a topic in AutoCAD General
Hello All, I am having some difficulty with circles & lookup parameters in my dynamic blocks. I have two circles at the end of a rod and I want to have it set so that when the users selects equipment A using a lookup, circle 1 gets set to a certain radii and circle 2 gets set to a different radii. If a user selects equipment b, circle 1 gets set to a certain radii and circle 2 gets set to another different radii and so on so forth. Also I can not use my visibility parameter for this as it is getting used for something else in the block. Any help would be appreciated.- 3 replies

I want to scale the large circle in this block while still keeping the line and smaller circle attached to the perimeter of the large circle. Please observe the rotation and stretch actions of the block as it currently exists. I need these actions to continue to function EXACTLY like they do now but to also ADD the scale action. I'm not sure if this is possible, so please don't hammer me too hard. Thanks, Kent DTL SYM.zip

Symmetry in Dynamic Blocks
bass_mark00 posted a topic in AutoCAD 2D Drafting, Object Properties & Interface
I'm looking for a solution to achieve a symmetrical stretch around a mid-point in a dymanic block. The specific example I have is a wall radiator which is dynamic and is able to stretch to alter the length. The result I'm after is to be able to stretch the radiator using a single grip and for the radiator to strech equally to the right and to the left of the mid-point. Is this possible? Also, when dynamic blocks were first introduced (2007 I think), there was a property associated with linear parameters called Distance Multiplier Overides which seems to have disappeared in recent years. If anyone has also used them before and knows where to find them I'd love to know. Thanks
