tzframpton Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Question: I believe that Mental Ray supports f-stop values on the focal depth of a camera in programs like 3DSMax and Maya, but is there such option in just plain vanilla AutoCAD? I'm wanting to have a depth/focus blur on some of my renders with a telephoto lens camera to add realism on some of my outputs. Thanks in advance. Quote
hazardman Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 in 3D max depth of feild is acheived with several rendering passes so it's not a direct process--it's kinda of cool seeing the image build up from sharp to fuzzyness but it's like rendering the same frame a dozen times to get the effect... i think the only way to do this with autocad is to render several images w/ and without the foreground objects and then use a program like photoshop to add the blur to the "background" plate... That's exactly what I was trying to stay away from. Thanks for the info hazard. Quote
