tzframpton Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 When you insert a LIGHT into your drawing, why is it when you don't set the Attenuation parameters at first, you can't change them later? Is there any way you can adjust this setting using the Properties palette without inserting a completely new light? Thanks in advance. Quote
shift1313 Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 if you select the light and go to properties, you should be able to change it. I can in acad07. There is a dropdown box to change the type, use limits and setting the limits. Quote
tzframpton Posted May 1, 2009 Author Posted May 1, 2009 Not for me. But it seems that you already enabled Attenuation 1st. If I do that then yes I can change "use limits" but this is not what I'm after. I'm wanting turn Attenuation on, period. Quote
shift1313 Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 when i created the light i just hit enter, then selected it and went to properties. The Type box said none and i changed it to Inverse Linear. Im not sure why it would be different in MEP Quote
tzframpton Posted May 1, 2009 Author Posted May 1, 2009 hmm, that is really weird.... I'll look into it more. Thanks for the help Matt. Quote

This can edit with generic light only.If you want to use photometric light this can't be edit!...eg..lightingunits (1)...can edit ,.lightingunits (2or 3)can't edit! Quote
tzframpton Posted May 1, 2009 Author Posted May 1, 2009 ohhhh gotcha. makes sense. I pretty much only use photometric lights anyways so I guess that solves my issue. Thanks!! Quote
