I'm having some issues with DWG Gateway...I can open the files using it but can not copy the objects I open with it into a ADT2i drawing...I have tried to save it down to a 2000 version and now ADT2i will open it but it still will not allow me to copy the object into another drawing...

If I get the MFG to send me the file in a 2000 format I can copy it in just fine...I must be missing something here and any help would be greatly appreciated...

It might not actually be a DWG Gateway problem...it might be in ADT itself...some files I can open but _pasteclip (CTRL "V") won't copy the object into a new drawing...its in the clipboard and will let me insert it as a metafile or a bitmap...just won't let me pasteclip the object in...

No one has any ideas?

Hmmmm, I'm stretching the memory here (2000 was a long time and a lot of versions ago), but if I recall correctly there was some nasty Database bug in 2000/2000i DWG Database that could prevent the Copy/ Paste function from working as expected.

Try a SaveAs and take it right back to R12 (I think you could go back that far in 2000). Give it a new name so that you don't overwrite your original file though... R12 was a nice stable platform/ Database. Open it up again and see if that's given you any joy...

No promises here though and Good Luck
