Gazonkie Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Hi guys, i'm having some trouble with my autocad 2008. The command box at the bottom of the screen isn't showing up, and so whenever i go to measure the distance between two points, the distance shows up beside the mouse instead of in the box. Any ideas of how to fix this? Thanks a lot! Quote
ReMark Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Are you referring to the command line? Is your screen maximized? The info next to your crosshairs is from enabling Dynamic Input. Turn it off if you do not want it to appear (see button at bottom of screen). Quote
AlinOz Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 The command box at the bottom of the screen isn't showing up If you've closed your Command Box down (whether by accident or not), you can get it back by using the COMMANDLINE command. If it has been shrunk to one or two lines, you can simply click & drag it back up. There are stacks of people out there who either don't use the Command Line or have it set at 1 or 2 lines, but for me, I'm a three Liner (AutoCAD Default) because sometimes information (like you have requested) takes the full 2 Lines to Display + your Input line. You may have shrunk it down and that's why it isn't showing the info you're looking for. By the way, these days the Command Line Box can be successfully closed (or placed anywhere on the screen) and the Dynamic Input will show the information (provided it's turned on - that's what ReMark was referring to) Quote
