jmanf Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I teach an Autocad cad and a student's 3D model will not hide polygons using Visual Styles/Conception in Autocad 2008. I have reviewed other projects on the same computer and this issue only occurs on two files. Is there a setting that causes this to occur saved locally inside the CAD file? Much thanks for any help Quote
kencaz Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 Check in the "visual styles manager" for conceptual. If "Fast Silhouette Edges" is YES then try lowering the number to 1. or turning it off altogether. Check the "EDGE SETTINGS" also. This may help. KC Quote
jmanf Posted May 15, 2009 Author Posted May 15, 2009 I tried both of your suggestions, but no luck. I have attached the file if you are interested in taking a look. The only thing I can think of is that it has something to do with her working on a Mac with Windows installed (never a good idea). In addition to the polygons, the faces are strangely rendered and the model shakes when using orbit. I ran a recover but nothing changed. Thanks for you help. 3DCabin_SZ.dwg Quote
SEANT Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 The general view setup should be modified via Dview to allow a closer Target and Camera Point position. 3DCabin_SZModCT.dwg Quote
