dave86 Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Hey there, New to the forum so a quick hello…..Hello! I’m a 2nd year Civil Eng student trying to complete an utter headache of an assignment to free up some revision time. I'm designing an extension to a building and I’ve encountered a problem which is hindering my progressL Basically instead of using polylines and regioning them and extruding as I should've. I decided to just use rectangles and line tool - press pulling them to create the windows and doors. Now I’m stuffed, I need to subtract them from the walls of the building - to give the effect of a doorway. They don't want to region with each other, I have no idea why not or if it's even possible to region press pulled objects? Its looking increasingly unlikely that theres a work around for this, I can only think or pediting all the lines - Is there any other way to solving this fiasco? Can anyone shed any light? I can also upload the file on request if needed Cheers Dave Quote
JD Mather Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Not sure why you are referring to Region or why your Presspull didn't already cut, but it looks like you simply need to Subtract. Can you zip and attach the file here? Have you gone through the tutorials in my signature? Quote
dave86 Posted May 20, 2009 Author Posted May 20, 2009 Subtract just wasn't happening for me, i've managed to salvage the project just by pediting the whole thing in 2D, just set me back a few hours. Thxs for the reply dude. Quote
