Could you tell us more about what you are trying to accomplish? I only ask because in an educational setting teachers will set up files to determine if students are sharing files. Copying someone else's work will get them a better grade but certainly won't help them in the long term.

yes you got it, its for college. So if i have copied someone else's solid model into my own drawing will my teacher be able to find out? my friend gave me his drawing from his usb pen and i copy and pasted a model from it

cheers bud. so could some one tell if i have copy and pasted a model from another dwg file into my own?

Not knowing how much you actually copied from your friend, I'll try not to come down to harsh on you mate - but copying another persons work is never a good idea. You don't learn anything from it, and if there are mistakes in there, the teacher will directly now that you have copied from your friend.

It's a much better idea to ask your friend how he did it, watch him do it and then try for yourself. Even if the result is not as good as your friends, you have learned something, and that's a win.

Also, please don't post your question in more than one place - you'll get an answer anyway.

What if your teacher has a good memory for details and recalls this particular model? How are you going to explain that?

He/She wil lonly catch you if there is a series of misktakes that are equal so either make a mistake u know is unique or use some initiative and just redraw it yourself.

I would be able to catch you - but of course I am not going to tell you how.

There you have it. A teacher would be able to catch you copying from a mate. So don't do it.

And here I was, helping you on other threads, only to find out that you're just here trying to find ways to cheat yourself out of an education. Do your own work Christo. You're only hurting yourself by cheating. What will you do when you get out into the real world? Will you hire your friend to do your work for you?
