Co-ordinates

Hi all

I got caught out today and thought Id share this with everyone as I think (hope) it's an easy mistake to make.

I have been collecting co-ordinates of objects on a drawing for the layout of high mast lighting poles so give to the surveyor to peg out on site. Well I got called this morning as some were not correct.

Long story short, the way I was obtaining the co-ords was by doing a LIST on each object and taking it there. Problem was that some were blocks and the reference point was the bottom left corner of the block giving me a co-ordinate which was a few metres off out on site.

The solution was to use the ID command and select the exact centre of the object.

It may be a beginners mistake but hopefully this helps other beginners :)
