jeff.mulvey Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Hello, I've built a 3D object and need to represent it in a "line drawing" (read wireframe). Out of "2D wireframe", "3D wireframe", and "Hidden (wireframe)", Hidden is closest to what I need but still too messy (The solid has plenty of fillets and filleted subtractions). When I use 3D orbit, AutoCAD removes some lines as I spin the object around and this looks great! Problem is I can't figure out how to plot that! So the question is: Is there a way to view what the object would look like while using 3D orbit, but without using 3D orbit? I know it's a weird request and probably a long shot, but I'd really love not to redraw this thing! Thanks in advance. Jeff Mulvey Quote
jeff.mulvey Posted July 13, 2009 Author Posted July 13, 2009 Did you try turning "DISPSILH" from to ? I just tried this and it doesn't seem to make much of a difference at all with this particular solid. But I learned something new! Thank you! I just tried tweaking "HLSETTINGS" and nothing there helped either. Any other ideas? Quote
deres Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 The next thing that I'm thinking is turning your 3d model on 2d using "SOLPROF" command and eliminate the unwanted lines... Quote
