Making A Bracket Line Type ACAD 2007

Does a bracket line type exist in AutoCAD or is there anyone who has made one? I want to be able to click a point, then click a second point and have it be a bracket rather then a line. Here is an example picture of what I mean.

 

I also need it defined in the line type manager because I am converting drawings to AutoCAD files and right now the brackets just come over as stright lines

Does it have to be a line/linetype? How about a dynamic block that stretches at each end?

That is nice being able to strech it like that but, I do need it to be a line type. I have converted drawings with the line type LBR, these LBR lines where brackets in the other CAD system. I want define an LBR line type in AutoCAD and have them all become brackets.

What other CAD system? Was it Autocad? Maybe it is defined in the previous acad.lin file and all you have to do is load it. Other wise you will need to create it.

The other CAD system is Medusa, it does not use a lin file to define its line types. I have been reading up on how to create lines but I am lost on how to create a line that will streach rather then repeating. I have been able to redefine all the other line types like dashed lines and lines that contain small boxes that repeate. The brackets I am lost on though.

I can't help you there and I'm not sure you can make a linetype that does that. Maybe someone else here can write a lisp to do what you need.
