stevsmith
Had a job interview yesterday and the company that I may be about to work for are about to switch from Inventor to Pro E. I compaired Pro E to Solidworks in terms of ease of use and similarity. Is this correct??? Most of my 3d design is done through Solidworks. Although I havent used it for a good few years. I have used inventor before, but not to a huge degree.
Tribunius
They are very similar. If anything solidworks is simpler to use in my experience.
shift1313
I feel the same. Pro E is decent but i really dont like the user interface. I would rather use SW.
stevsmith
Thanks guys, I found that I picked up Solidworks extreamly quickly when I was 1st starting out. Hopefully I can brush up on my 3d modeling pretty quickly. p.s. Matt, are there any programs you haven't used? lol That is a fair sized signature you have. Almost as long as my cv (resume)
shift1313
I have touched Catia but not enough to put it in my Sig:). being a student allows me to get my hands on a variety of software. Working for University gets me the others I can get for free:)
