Try a search of all your files from the windows start menu. Search Romans.shx, this should tell you where the file is located.

From the AutoDesk discussion groups. 8)

If you would like to try an improved version of Romans, download the attached.

The font includes all characters added in the version shipped with 2006 plus original romans coding has been cleaned up.

This version also includes many added useful characters and symbols.

The romans.shx is a pretty old format now. Maybe two decades old. Used to be that upon obtaining a copy of Autocad, and loading it onto your computer, they asked the installer as to if you wanted the older texts or not. If the installer said NO they skipped that feature and then went on to another. Thus it may not be on the system.

Used to be three types of Roman font. Romans, simplex. Romanc was complex, and romant was tripple. Yours is asking for easiest type, and it does not resemble the TrueType font.

Get your original installation disk and see how to transferr for it to your hard drive. Takes like 1/2 minute. If the disk got swapped around some, then it could posibly be on another computer to then take a look at.
