Bill Tillman Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Environment: AutoCAD 2010 on Windows Vista Ultimate Okay, I got a nice ctb file from my old job which I have used before with my older version of AutoCAD. I'm now using 2010 and can't seem to figure out why the ctb file doesn't show up as an option. I copied the ctb file into C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2010\User Cache\Plotters\Plot Styles\myctbfile.ctb But when I go to print the layout and try to choose myctbfile.ctb it does not show up in the menu. I can of course create a new one but I don't want to go to all that work again. I gotta believe there is a way to do this. Any suggestions? Quote
deres Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 I have 2008 version, I don't know the differences with '10. Don't you have the option File>Plot style manager to paste it there? Quote
Bill Tillman Posted July 21, 2009 Author Posted July 21, 2009 I was not aware that was available. Thanks. I also found that I copied the ctb file into the wrong folder that's why it was not available. It was actually required to be copied into: C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2010\R18.0\enu\Plotters\Plot Styles whew! All is well now. Thanks again. Quote
deres Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 In my office we have all the ctb's in folders under each project. We use shortcuts of them at Plot style manager...it helps when you have a network. Quote
