BIGMIKE09281946 Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Does anyone know why some of the files have a preview window, when opening a file? Quote
StevenMc Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 not quite sure why its there but it can be turned off by going to view just above the preview and then unticking preview. Quote
NaeKid Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 If the file has a preview, it means that the screen-size was significant enough for a preview to be created when the file was closing. If you close down a file when it is minimized, I have found that the preview does not get saved. .dxf files do not seem to have preview available, only the .dwg files from what I have experienced. Does this help you out at all? Quote

bonehead411 Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 so does the preview show you the drawing the way it was last saved?i've never actually thought about it before It does. That's why it's a good idea to get into the habit of zooming to extents before saving and closing a drawing. Quote
Cad64 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 You can enable/disable the file preview in Options > Open and Save > Thumbnail Preview Settings. Quote
