gabonejo Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 hello, for some reason every time I attempt to draw a polygon (ex: rec.) the osnap does not recognize end points, or intersections, only perpendicular snap which is not accurate. Any suggestions ?? Thank you! Quote
kencaz Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 type "OSNAP" on the command line or right click the icon for settings and check the snaps you want. KC Quote
gabonejo Posted July 26, 2009 Author Posted July 26, 2009 thank you for your reply, problem is, The settings are selected!! Quote
JoeC Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Is this happening in any/all drawings or only in a specific one? Quote
gabonejo Posted July 27, 2009 Author Posted July 27, 2009 In several of them, they are part of the same project. Quote
JoeC Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Give this a try...copy one of the problem drawings and paste it into a "fresh"/blank drawing and see if the problem still exists in the new drawing. Many times, we have similar issues with drawings that originate at another company using a different version of Autocad. Quote
kencaz Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 What are you snapping to or from when drawing the rectangle? Once it is created you cannot snap to end points or center points? try to provide a screen shot or sample file. KC Quote
gabonejo Posted July 30, 2009 Author Posted July 30, 2009 thank you for your replies ! joec, that apparently was the problem with a couple of them. kencaz, I try to snap to several obects; extruded shapes, lines etc.. Quote
JoeC Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Glad to contribute for a change. I'm usually the one asking the questions. Well that is really only a "bandage" for the issue, but it solves about 90% of the mystery problems we have. Things like this are quite commmon for us as most of our drawings originate from a third party. I'd love to find a real solution! Quote
