marlon Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 I know this is probably in the tutorials, but can anyone show me a very simple example of shadow? Like how do I make a cube cast a shadow...something simple will do. Thanks a lot! Quote
ReMark Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Marlon: Pardon me while I rack my brain. I'm using 2009 and you are using 2002. There is a bit of a difference. All the AutoCAD lights can cast shadows. The current Render type (Photo Raytrace / Real) and settings you'll find in the Shadow options dialog box will determine the type of shadows that are cast. Toggle shadow casting On/Off with the Shadow On check box. I think you'll find this feature in the Lights dialog box. Did you both to check your Help files? Do you have a good after-market AutoCAD book available? How about the User's Guide? Quote
ReMark Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Any luck there Marlon with your shadow-casting exercise? Quote
marlon Posted July 31, 2009 Author Posted July 31, 2009 ....need a little practice...way too complicated for me at the moment....thanks! Quote
nocturne00 Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 for cad2002, this would be a long shot. Check out under Light or Sun command i think, there is a checkbox for shadows, use Raytrace. then under the Render Window(RR), i think you need to enable them also via a checkbox. Quote
papagyi Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 If your current version is 2002 , you can see about not only shadow but also more rendering tips! http://www.cadtutor.net/tutorials/autocad/adding-sunlight.php Quote
