I know this is probably in the tutorials, but can anyone show me a very simple example of shadow? Like how do I make a cube cast a shadow...something simple will do. Thanks a lot!

Pardon me while I rack my brain. I'm using 2009 and you are using 2002. There is a bit of a difference.

All the AutoCAD lights can cast shadows. The current Render type (Photo Raytrace / Real) and settings you'll find in the Shadow options dialog box will determine the type of shadows that are cast. Toggle shadow casting On/Off with the Shadow On check box. I think you'll find this feature in the Lights dialog box.

Did you both to check your Help files?

Do you have a good after-market AutoCAD book available? How about the User's Guide?

for cad2002, this would be a long shot. Check out under Light or Sun command i think, there is a checkbox for shadows, use Raytrace. then under the Render Window(RR), i think you need to enable them also via a checkbox.
