omid_221 Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 hi all specially papaguy i uploaded this scene ies file uploaded too.i couldnt bring out photon as this type of lump?can u? 1.zip Quote
arjun_samar Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Mr. omid, i have open your model. and first thing i did was render it in your settings.. but the result was plain dark.... then i have notice that the reason why the render was plain black its because the your view is not inside the shelled 3d box... imagine a light inside a covered box.. then outside of that box have no light. so, in real world if your looking from the outside of the box all you see is just plain black.. so i have place a camera inside the box... and place the ies file to your web light and i added some few point lights with shadows off. examine the dwg file attact its your 3d model that i examine.. hope this may help you as you have help me. in realistic water creation, thanks again. omid_221 Posted August 4, 2009 Author Posted August 4, 2009 tnx arjun for your reply. all the things you have done very precisely i have done too but only thing i want dose photon emission worked? Quote
papagyi Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 we miss your question fri!.. You means it may seen like as 3ds max vray for show sample rendering (don't render final image)! Can you explain more what you want? Quote
omid_221 Posted August 5, 2009 Author Posted August 5, 2009 papagyi you know in 3dsmax any kind of light even ies could emit photons.but according on my attempt in autocad and specially on ies light photon emisson not working .it dosent emiit photon when you use ies type.just scene rendered with default ies luminosity.and no GI Quote
Lazarus Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I think that in AutoCAD you don't have individual control over the photon emission of artificial lights. So if you have a certain amount of photons set per light, that amount is taken into consideration when the GI is calculating the photon map. Lazarus Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 it dosent emiit photon when you use ies type.just scene rendered with default ies luminosity.and no GI I think that if GI is turned on and lets say that you have 100000 photons per light, then the IES light is going to emmit 100000 photons alone.I could be wrong though. Edit: And i was wrong.Omid is very right.I just did a test scene.A closed room with no openings(hollow box) with 2 IES lights.I turned on GI,and turned on visual diagnostic so i can see the photon density.Nothing...Blue screen.I then changed the 2 web lights to spot/point lights and the result was different.I could see a psychedelic image with an infrared effect where the lights were positioned.I really don't understand why this is happening.IES lights have no effect whatsoever on the overall GI photon map!!! Quote
omid_221 Posted August 5, 2009 Author Posted August 5, 2009 that is right lazarus.its my problem no GI overall!!!!!!untill you add another light. but gi photons dosnt belong to ies light!!!! Quote
papagyi Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Honestly I never check this point!... We need to study more...thk lazarus & omid_221.. Quote
Noahma Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 I think that if GI is turned on and lets say that you have 100000 photons per light, then the IES light is going to emmit 100000 photons alone.I could be wrong though. arjun_samar Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 btw, where would I find this Visual Diagnostic? here. Mr. Noaham:D Quote
arjun_samar Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Mr. Omid is this what your talking about? , here, the 1st image is a render window with artificial lights (ies lights and point light.. after hitting rr for render it skips photon emission the renderer goes directly to final gather skiping the photon emission in my own understanding steps in rendering in window 1.photon emission 2.final gather 3.rendering. the second image, i used sun as the light and after hitting rr for render. photon emission does appear. it doents skips it unlike the artificial lights.(ies lights) Quote
