Hello everyone im new to autocad and im not really sure what to call what im try to do so hopefully we can figure this out together. I have a floor plan drawn up for a building and i was wondering if it is possible to change the length of a wall and the drawing will i guess resize itself. I guess im trying to see if the wall connected perpendicular to the wall im trying to lengthin will stay connected to the end of the wall and move out with the new length. Everytime i try i can only change the length of the one line that makes up the wall and nothing else moves.

Thank You in advance and sorry for the rambling on.

No i had been just redrawing the walls before. I tried it and it will just shift the wall over it doesnt really stretch it, am I using it wrong? I select the object I want to move then hit enter and type in how much i want it to move.

Yes, you can use the MOVE command to move the wall a set distance. By dragging your mouse in the direction you want to go (might be a good idea to have ORTHO enabled) and entering the required distance at the keyboard you maintain great precision.

It is also possible to STRETCH the end of the wall as well. The proper use of the STRETCH command requires a crossing window otherwise it will not function properly. You do not have to window the entire object(s) that make up your wall. If you do then the command will function more like the MOVE command instead.

Consult your AutoCAD Help file (press F1) for further details regarding the MOVE and STRETCH commands.
