Lee Mac Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 If you are trying to record the screen - look into Camtasia - they offer a 30-day trial program you could use. http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.asp Quote
Grigs Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Or, you could try this one. I have used it in the past, and it's free http://camstudio.org/ Quote
StevenMc Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 I would also recommend CamStudio i use it sometimes to help out others and seems to work fine. Quote
Lee Mac Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 I much prefer Camtasia to CamStudio, I've tried both and with CamStudio you always get the hourglass (working symbol) over the mouse when recording from screen (well, you do in Vista anyway). Whereas in Camtasia, you don't Quote

Grigs Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Odd. I just tried CamStudio with AutoCAD and while I was recording I didn't get the circular "hour glass" but when I went to view the AVI file it was there. (Also using Vista, btw). Oh well. For a free capture program it's not bad. Quote
StevenMc Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 i see what you mean Lee. when doing other things with camstudio (not AutoCAD) the hour glass doesnt appear. but when in a command in autocad it does. this can be turned off although turning this off turns the cursor off. looks like you have the better one afterall. i havent realised that before thanks.
