AutoCAD template start up...

HI

I have a few windows that seem to unwantedly pop up when i start a new session in AutoCAD.

One of them is when i open up AutoCAD and choose a template (my drawingsheet template) the window says:

"saving the drawing will update any AEC objects in it to the current version, which will be incompatible with earlier version"

is there a way to stop this popping up? also the tick box at the bottom says "dont show this message again" but that only seems to work when im in the same session.

Another one is when i open a drawing that has been created in say metrostation, it tells me that the drawing was created using another program. Same scenario is there any way to stop these popping up?

Thanks in advance

I don't believe you can suppress either one of the messages no matter how often you see them or how obnoxious you may find them to be. Better yet, don't do either of the things mentioned and you won't have to see the messages in the first place. If that is unavoidable then you'll have to live with the consequences, right?

The AEC issue can be handled with the AecFileOpenMessage. You will probably need to add that to a start up lisp routine to have it on all the time.

For the other issue (see last sentence):

"...This identifies files that Autodesk may not be able to support and alerts the user that Autodesk cannot guarantee the integrity or compatibility of that DWG file with AutoCAD or any other Autodesk application. Much like functionality that allows Internet users to choose which files they download from the Internet, TrustedDWG does not repair defects or identify or correct integrity or compatibility concerns that may exist in the file, but enables the AutoCAD user to choose whether or not to use DWG files that were not last saved by an Autodesk or RealDWG licensee product. The TrustedDWG notification may be easily disabled by checking the box identified for that purpose."
