CadTechJGC184 Posted August 18, 2009 Author Posted August 18, 2009 Wow, I'm sorry for asking in a way that wasn't correct. I thought I was just asking in a general way. i have no clue how to make or modify lisp routines. i can't learn for a writing instruction. trust me I've tried. i learn better from a hands on bases. I'm going to go back to school. I never had a problem getting help on this great site before. LeeMac has always helped out with anything. I thought he liked doing things like that. LeeMac, I really do thank you for everything you have done for me. You have always help out when i couldn't find help anywhere else. Sorry if i have taking you for granted. Quote

Cad64 Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Yes, but what other options are available for the same operation? If you're just asking for donations, there is no way around the fact that PayPal is going to take their cut. They need to make money also. But if you're charging a pre-determined fee for your routines, then you can factor in the amount that PayPal will take and add that to the cost of the routine. I do this when I charge for freelance work. I figure out roughly how much of a cut PayPal will take and then I add that as a line item in my bid proposal. Sort of like a shipping and handling fee. If you're doing a lot of business, you can upgrade your account to one where you pay a monthly fee for the PayPal service. They take less of a cut on transactions if you have one of these accounts. Lee Mac Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Thanks for the tip Rod - I had thought of that but I might just move away from using PayPal for the larger transactions. Quote
