CADMASTER1128 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Are you talking about the AREA tool in the inquiry toolbar? Quote

Butch Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Is it possible to somehow modify the field value? Egsample, I use centimeters when drawing but would want that filed value for area is displayed in meters. So if I have eg. 200 by 200 square, I would like that filed displays 4,00m2. I know I could do this with aditional formating option but you have to use this additional formating on every other filed that you insert. How to avoid this so that eventhou my drawing units are cm I want my field area text to always be displayed in m2. Help. Quote
Dadgad Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 The database unit of the drawing dictates how the area and volumes will be displayed. If you are drawing in mm linear units, then area will be reported in mm2, and volume in mm3. You could change the database units to meters if you wanted, but then when you drew a line of length 1, it would be 1 meter in length. I used ADDITIONAL FORMATTING to change the display of the second field, like you spoke of in your post. Quote
