alto_mesa Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 I'm having an issue on a somewhat complex roofing design. The middle section of the house is a 20' 7" plate height while the left & right side are 10' 0" plate height. When I set up the walls they render correctly, however, I cannot seem to figure out how to get the Roof Tools design feature to take into consideration differing plate heights on the same house. I would greatly appreciate some guidance. Quote

If it is Autocad Architecture, you may want to update your profile to show the correct version of Autocad. The way you worded it sounds like Autocad Architecture. The roof tools IE Roof and Roof slabs are a whole can of worms that may need some time and explanations to teach well. if you are using the Roof tool only, select the roof, and right click. Select edit edges, and you will find the plate height changes in there. After you get the initial roof setup you will need to convert it to roof slabs to refine. For the walls to extend up to the roof you will need to select the walls and right click. Go into roof / floor offsets i think its called. And choose A for auto, then select the roof and press enter. This should extend the walls to the roof. Quote
