AutoCAD 2009 Problems...

Recommended Posts

My software seems to have developed some fairly minor bugs over the last few weeks.

1. I can only open drawings or start a new drawing through the command line. The explorer preview window has dissapeared.

2. When selecting any entity I'm no longer given the layer preview information from the "layers 1" toolbar drop down window.

Obviously I have re-installed the software to try and cure the problem but no luck so far.

Thanks

1. Reset FILEDIA equal to 1 then try again.

2. Huh? The layer preview information? Are you talking about Quick Properties?

3. Your first option should have been a REPAIR. When that fails then you do a REINSTALL.

2. No not the quick properties, the layers 1 toolbar. when you select any object that should tell you which layer it's on. Mines doesn't do that anymore and i dont use quick properties as it drives me nuts.

Yeah, I have the toolbar but the layer status remains the same when selecting anything.

ie. it remains on the current layer rather than the conventional change to preview the objects layer your selecting.
