I was wondering how many of you that has recently purchased or thinking of, has got the hard-sell from their dealers with a request to use Revit instead of Architecture?

Do you think they are phasing out Architecture.

I tried it(Revit) and was actually appauled that they would try to sell Revit to a residential designer. I may be wrong but I thought it would be totally useless for my application.

 Yeah, we got the same speech when we were talking to our rep about upgrading 3DS Max. I don't know what Revit has to do with architectural visualizations, but they were trying to tell us that Revit would help cut down on our design and modeling time. I told him that the design and modeling time was not the problem. It was the rendering times that we were trying to decrease, but the whole meeting he kept mentioning Revit and telling us that we really should consider getting it.

I think maybe the reps have been instructed to push Revit for whatever reason?
